Micro and Nanosurgery

MZF4 Medical expands its micro and nanosurgery suture portfolio

We’re proud to share an important milestone: MZF4 Medical has completed the development of its full line of black logwood–dyed polyamide monofilament sutures for micro and nanosurgical applications, covering the complete range from USP 9/0 and 10/0 (microsurgery) to USP 11/0 and 12/0 (nanosurgery).

This project was entirely developed at MZF4 Medical’s extrusion center and represents two years of focused work by our talented R&D team, led by Ana Luiza De Rosa, and our Innovation team, led by Alexandre Fuzinelli. The development was strategically aimed at the Japanese market, home to some of the most specialized companies and advanced nanosurgery practices in the world.

This breakthrough also allowed us to expand our polypropylene monofilament family, now including USP 9/0 and 10/0 blue phthalocyanine–dyed sutures, further reinforcing our position as a global partner for high-performance suture technologies.

Applications of these ultra-fine sutures include:

• Ophthalmic surgery
• Peripheral nerve repair
• Microvascular and nerve anastomoses
• Plastic and reconstructive microsurgery
• Subdermal and delicate tissue repairs

And this is just the beginning! Our innovation pipeline is full, and we look forward to sharing more exciting developments soon.
